Tosa fan painting

Tosa school fan painting depicting two figures in a dance . One is a Yamabushi or the ‘mountain warriors’ these were Buddhist monks which had a background in martial training. He is dancing atop his basket backpack while another figure in court dress holds two handfuls of rice stalk. There is a silver leaf cloud band border and a red edging at the top with chrysanthemum designs.

扇面人物。江户（1615 – 1868）。设色银箔扇面立轴。质优重裱。 土佐派的扇面画。 一个是Yamabushi即山武士，有武术背景的佛教修士。另一人穿宫廷礼服。
